Neil Armstrong (August 5, 1930-August 25, 2012)
Neil was a born Ohioan who was an astronaut and most importantly the first man to walk on the moon in 1969. In 1962, he joined the NASA Astornaut Corps and soon after became the first civilian astronaut to fly in space. Before doing all of this, he was an officer in the US Navy.

Orville Wright (August 19, 1871-January 30, 1948)
Orville was born in Dayton, and most famous for leading the first ever manned powered flight with his brother Wilbur. There are many historic buildings in Ohio named after the brothers, and one of the original homes of their shops is still standing today.
